Jacob Bradfield is a writer, activist and creative from the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. A settled third generation New Age Traveller growing up in a world of austerity, climate breakdown and social division, Jacob now works independently and in collaboration with a range of people and organisations to drive inclusive structural innovation through informed, unapologetic and creative disruption to accepted knowledge, institutions and practices. Born Zachary Jacob Arnold, Jacob has always been opinionated and his love of reading, writing and the arts has provided him with the tools to articulate his views to the world in eye-catching and provocative ways. Using the same tools, he seeks to represent those that find it harder to articulate their own struggles. From representing members of the public as an elected Councillor and on two Charitable Trusts, Sea Cadets on the unit management committee and young people at a supported accommodation unit as a customer representative, to writing articles for online outlets, scripts tackling important and complex social issues for a secondary school drama club and press releases for a number of grassroots community and cause campaigns, Jacob uses his interdisciplinary skillset to help people champion themselves and shine a light on important issues that others gloss over. Jacob is never satisfied unless the projects or organisations he is involved with are moving forward, breaking new ground and interrogating what we think we know to ensure constant progress in building more effective and people-focused ideas, organisations and structures that are fit for the challenges of the future.
